What sets HerVé apart from HouseMed

HouseMed primarily targets paramedical professions outside the national health insurance agreement and says so itself: it handles neither FSE nor teletransmission. For an orthoptist who bills national health insurance, that is the first criterion to check.

Built-in SESAM-Vitale billing

HerVé handles FSE, teletransmission, NGAP coding (AMY, assessments, sessions) and rejection follow-up. HouseMed states that teletransmission requires separate dedicated software.

One tool instead of two

With HouseMed, an orthoptist billing health insurance must keep teletransmission software alongside. HerVé brings calendar, patient file, billing and payments together in one subscription.

AI for reports

HerVé writes reports in 2 clicks from consultation data. We found no AI feature on HouseMed’s website.

Orthoptist-ophthalmologist telemedicine

HerVé builds in coordination with the ophthalmologist. HouseMed offers video teleconsultation with patients and a calendar shared with ophthalmologists.

Health data hosting

Health data hosted by an HDS-certified provider (Cloud Advice). Health data hosted in France / European Union.

About HouseMed

HouseMed (housemed.cloud) presents itself as “all-in-one management software for independent practitioners” and targets 12 professions, including orthoptists; its core audience remains paramedical professions outside the health insurance agreement (psychomotor therapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, psychologists…). According to its legal notice, the application is published by a sole trader based in Boulogne-Billancourt; the website shows “© 2024–2026”. No user count is published.

On its “about” page, the vendor is explicit: “We do not handle national health insurance billing (FSE, electronic claim forms) or SESAM-Vitale teletransmission.” The orthoptist page states that teletransmission “requires specific software” and that HouseMed handles the complementary part, with invoices exportable to the teletransmission software. Highlighted features are the calendar with online booking and reminders, the patient file (visual assessments, reports, templates exported to Word), invoicing with NGAP codes and third-party payment calculation, online payment, bank-connected accounting with 2035 preparation, video teleconsultation, a calendar shared with ophthalmologists and multi-practice support.

On hosting, HouseMed states that it does not itself hold HDS certification and hosts data in France on Microsoft Azure, an HDS-certified infrastructure. The listed price is €15/month per practitioner, “all inclusive”, with no commitment and no mention of VAT, a 30-day free trial and free migration. HouseMed can therefore suit a practice that already has teletransmission software and wants an affordable management tool; HerVé is for orthoptists who want to do everything, including health insurance billing, in a single piece of software.
